Donna works at Ropes & Gray LLP, a Boston based law firm with offices throughout
the United States as well as globally. Since 2019, she has worked as a consultant to
the agriculture and timber business, providing advice and guidance on global
governance, contracts, operations, and risk management. Prior to her consulting
roles, Donna served as general counsel to the Hancock Natural Resource Group from
2010-2018. She also served as an initial co-chair of the Hancock Natural Resource
Group’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee through 2019.

In the timber and agriculture sectors, Donna has structured joint ventures,
financings, property management agreements, acquisitions, and dispositions
together with assisting in managing global operations of timber and agriculture and
risk management at all levels of an organization from the boards and senior
management to the “boots on the ground” of operations, compliance, and risk
management for the safe and effective operation of timberland and farms. She is
experienced in both equity and debt agriculture investments.

She has worked to advance the integration of stewardship and sustainability
principals in agriculture and timber investments. She is successful at initiating and
negotiating complex business transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions,
direct and structured investments in real estate and related securities.

Prior to serving as general counsel, Donna worked at John Hancock Life Insurance
Company as a senior investment lawyer and before going to law school, she started
her career as an accountant.

Donna has worked in natural resources all her life, beginning on a family farm in Pennsylvania. She believes in the importance of agriculture for our world, and that generations benefit from the farm.
